Dear Friends
Please mark Saturday 10th May, 2008 in your date-keeping
devices, for we are going to have a get-together of
the GraFTII general body. We meet in the Card Room
of the Renaissance Club, Juhu-Versova Link Road, Mumbai
at 6:30 pm for a discussion and this will be followed
by drinks and dinner at the poolside.
Twelve members have responded to the call for nominations
for the executive committee of GraFTII. They are:
Batul Mukhtiar, Chandita Mukherjee, Dharam Gulati,
Dilip Ghosh, Indrajit Neogi, Jabeen Merchant, Mahesh
Aney, Niranjan Thade, Pradeep Dixit, Pramod Mittal,
Suresh Naik and Uday Shankar Pani. As 13 members are
required to make up the committee, there is no contest
and these 12 nominees are now declared elected. The
new executive committee will meet and co-opt a thirteenth
member to complete the committee.
The main agenda of this meeting is to give the new
executive committee a sense of what the general body
would like GraFTII to do. Please come with your ideas
and share them with your fellow alumni. Those of you
living outside Mumbai, please use the Wisdomtree mailing
list to put forward your programme ideas. If you are
not on the list, just mail your thoughts back and
we can circulate them and add you to the list. We
look forward to suggestions for many new types of
activities of our common interest.
A contribution of Rs 200 per head is requested for
the dinner and will be collected at the venue.
Please forward this message to all your FTII graduate
friends so that this general body meeting can be as
widely attended as possible. Not everyone is on the
Wisdomtree list, so please make it a point to remind
people close to you. We especially look forward to
people from the most recent batches coming to the
meeting.
To confirm your participation, please inform either
Dharam Gulati (98200 57577) or Chandita Mukherjee
(98205 09179) by SMS at the earliest, so that adequate
preparations are made.
Those of you wanting to make your GraFTII photo-ID
cards, please come with your photograph and a cheque
for Rs 2,000 in favour of GraFTII Foundation. Also
to make donations to the "Tai fund" or Sulabha
Kulkarni Benefit, please bring your cheques along.
Hoping to see you on the 10th!
Chandita Mukherjee
on behalf of the outgoing committee
